SOC L2 & MSS Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SOC L2 & MSS Consultant to operate, tune and continuously improve security platforms for our managed client environments in Dubai. The role combines hands‑on incident investigation, detection engineering and client reporting within a 24x7 SOC.

Key responsibilities

• Operate SIEM platform, tune correlation rules, develop custom parsers and onboard log sources.
• Design detection use‑cases aligned with MITRE ATT&CK and create SOAR playbooks for automated triage.
• Administer EDR/AV solutions, investigate alerts, contain threats and conduct threat hunting.
• Manage email security (anti‑phishing, anti‑malware, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) using FortiMail, Proofpoint or Mimecast.
• Configure DLP policies, perform data classification and support data loss prevention initiatives.
• Conduct L2 incident investigations, response actions and post‑incident improvements.
• Prepare client reports, health checks, tuning recommendations and support MSS onboarding.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
• 3–5 years of SOC experience with at least 2 years at L2 level.
• Comfortable working rotational shifts in a 24x7 managed SOC.
• Strong documentation and client communication abilities.

Required skills

• FortiSIEM (or comparable enterprise SIEM).
• FortiSOAR (or comparable SOAR platform).
• Bitdefender GravityZone EDR/AV.
• FortiMail, Proofpoint or Mimecast email security.
• DLP and data classification tools.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Microsoft Defender, Entra ID and Intune.
• PAM/PRA and vulnerability management platforms.
