Software Developer Trainer for Connected Battlespace Lab

About the role

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Software Developer/Trainer to support a three‑month training period in the UK followed by a four‑year assignment in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on the Connected Battlespace Lab (CBL) program, delivering software development training and providing subject‑matter expertise for a communications‑systems modelling and simulation laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the CBL Foundations Course and other software development training sessions.
• Provide SME support for software development activities within the CBL laboratories.
• Assist with the installation and configuration of the Connected Battlespace Lab at the UAE site.
• Conduct a Training Needs Analysis and design a knowledge‑transfer and mentoring program for local personnel.
• Teach selected software development topics and facilitate on‑the‑job training and co‑development.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualifications in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in software development and technical training.
• Ability to work onsite in the UAE and complete background and immigration checks.
• Eligibility to obtain the right to work and reside in the United Arab Emirates.
