Software Engineer AI Training

About the role

Join Alignerr as a Software Engineer focused on AI training. You will write, debug and optimise code while evaluating AI‑generated solutions, helping to make AI coding assistants smarter and more reliable. This is a fully remote, flexible contract position.

Key responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimise code across a range of languages, frameworks and problem domains.
• Review AI‑generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works—or doesn’t.
• Design challenging prompts and edge‑case scenarios to stress‑test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI‑generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously, setting your own schedule.

Required profile

• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving instincts and systematic debugging approach.
• Clear written communication skills for explaining technical decisions.
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working without supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
