Software Engineer Application Support

About the role

GAC Group is seeking a Software Engineer – Application Support to join its IT team in Dubai. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of critical business applications, working closely with development, infrastructure and architecture teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for production applications, handling incidents, alerts, change and service requests.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimise business impact while adhering to service‑level agreements.
• Collaborate with developers to implement bug‑fixes, enhancements and application‑improvement projects.
• Maintain clear documentation of application functionality, support procedures and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of production support experience in a similar environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• C# development.
• .NET Core / .NET Framework.
• REST APIs.
• DevExpress UI components (WinForms, WPF).
• MS SQL Server – complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning.
• Microsoft Azure services, including Azure SQL, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Container‑based solutions and cloud‑hosted applications.
