About the role
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering innovative digital products. The role combines deep technical expertise, product thinking, and people leadership while shaping the organization’s digital strategy at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Lead onshore and offshore engineering teams, fostering collaboration across disciplines.
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Marketing and business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact digital solutions.
- Drive engineering excellence, governance, coding standards and best practices.
- Evaluate and introduce modern technology frameworks, tools and AI‑assisted development practices.
- Oversee architecture decisions, API strategy, microservices design and cloud deployments.
- Manage technical roadmaps, engineering KPIs, delivery performance and resource planning.
- Reduce technical debt and improve platform scalability, stability and performance.
- Conduct technology assessments, proof‑of‑concepts and vendor evaluations.
- Support stakeholders through workshops, demos, requirement gathering and solution design.
- Promote agile delivery practices and continuous improvement across teams.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams, including distributed/offshore teams.
- Proven experience in product‑led organisations and agile delivery environments.
- Strong knowledge of modern architecture patterns such as microservices and API‑first design.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with Node.js, React.js, React Native and Next.js.
- Experience in mobile application development.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with MACH architecture principles.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and source control.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
