Software Engineering Manager – Lead Digital Product Delivery

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of innovative digital products for a regional organisation focused on technology‑led growth. The role will drive modern engineering practices, cloud‑native architecture and AI‑assisted development across onshore and offshore teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams located onshore and offshore.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Marketing and business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact digital products.
• Drive engineering excellence, governance, coding standards and best practices.
• Evaluate and introduce modern technology solutions, frameworks and tools, championing AI‑assisted development.
• Oversee architecture decisions, API strategy, micro‑services design and cloud deployments.
• Manage technical roadmaps, engineering KPIs, delivery performance and resource planning.
• Reduce technical debt and improve platform scalability, stability and performance.
• Conduct technology assessments, proof‑of‑concepts and vendor evaluations.
• Support stakeholders through workshops, demonstrations, requirement gathering and solution design.
• Promote agile delivery practices and continuous improvement across engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams, including distributed/offshore teams.
• Experience in product‑led organisations and agile delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern architecture patterns such as micro‑services and API‑first design.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
