Solar Engineering Consultant Lead

About the role

As a Solar Engineering Consultant Lead at Bureau Veritas, you will head the Solar Technical Advisory and Independent Engineering services across the Middle East and Caspian Sea region, based in Dubai. You will guide clients through the full project lifecycle, from resource assessment to construction, ensuring high‑quality, trustworthy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solar technical advisory and independent engineering activities for regional projects.
• Conduct solar resource assessments and energy yield modeling.
• Evaluate and review solar PV system designs, technical specifications, and commercial contracts.
• Support clients throughout development, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Interpret relevant regulations, codes, and standards and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate subject‑matter experts to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
• Travel to solar sites, conferences and events as required (up to 25% of time).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the solar sector.
• At least 6 years of experience in power‑sector development, construction or operations.
• Proven expertise in independent engineering practices and technical specification analysis.
• Strong project‑management, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Experience working in the Middle East or Caspian Sea region.
