Solutions Architect

About the role

DarkMatter is seeking a senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise‑wide networking and data‑center solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure robust, secure, and future‑proof architectures across complex environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect end‑to‑end solution designs, including specifications and budget assistance.
• Coordinate with vendors on solution impact and integration with the existing estate.
• Redesign legacy solutions and plan estate upgrades, technology shrinkage, and disaster‑recovery capabilities.
• Evaluate and select appropriate software/hardware, suggesting integration methods.
• Ensure alignment with organizational security policies and guidelines.
• Design ICT networking solutions for sensitive and high‑availability environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years overall experience, with at least 5 years as a network architect.
• Expertise in large‑scale Data Center, WAN, DMZ, and Internet network design.
• Strong background in IP network service architectures, public/private/hybrid networks, and Network‑as‑a‑Service.
• Hands‑on experience with Data Center L2/L3 technologies, storage networking, automation, and orchestration.
• Proven ability to work with vendors and present technical solutions.
• Relevant certifications: TOGAF, CCIE Routing & Switching, and a Disaster‑Recovery Architecture/Design certification (e.g., Cisco, EMC, Dell).
