Sous Chef – Arabic Kitchen

About the role

The Sous Chef for the Arabic Kitchen will support the Executive Chef in delivering high‑quality Arabic cuisine at a five‑star beachfront resort. This role combines menu development, kitchen supervision and strict adherence to hygiene standards in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and test menu items and standard recipes for the Arabic Kitchen.
• Supervise and coach kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food preparation.
• Maintain the highest quality and presentation standards for all dishes.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, place orders and maintain supplier relationships.
• Monitor kitchen equipment, arrange maintenance and ensure proper functioning.
• Prepare staff schedules and oversee shift rotations.
• Contribute ideas to improve menu options, kitchen performance and service levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a hotel or resort kitchen.
• Strong leadership and team‑motivation abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Good understanding of Arabic cuisine and flavor profiles.
• Commitment to health, safety and cleanliness standards.
