Sous Chef (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

Rotana Hotels is seeking a passionate Sous Chef who can speak Arabic to lead the Banquets kitchen at Park Rotana & Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi. You will ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction while supporting the culinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Banquets kitchen in preparing and presenting all food items according to SOPs and standardized menus.
• Monitor production standards to maintain the highest level of quality.
• Control food costs and ensure accurate cost reporting.
• Contribute to concept ideas and menu development for special events and functions.
• Implement HACCP standards and adhere to municipal hygiene regulations.
• Provide consistent on‑the‑job training for culinary colleagues and promote health & safety.

Required profile

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Minimum three years of experience in reputable establishments.
• Excellent culinary skills and strong English communication.
• Proven knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Positive, energetic attitude with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Effective leadership in a multicultural environment.
• Competencies: hotel operations, effective communication, business planning, people supervision, teamwork, adaptability, customer focus, results‑driven.
