Sous Chef – Jaleo

About the role

As a Sous Chef for Jaleo, you will support the Chef de Cuisine in delivering high‑standard Mediterranean cuisine at Atlantis Dubai. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure seamless coordination across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Cuisine in planning and executing menus.
• Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to uphold service standards.
• Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in all work areas.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation.
• Coordinate with front‑of‑house and other departments to ensure smooth service flow.
• Provide training and on‑the‑job coaching for junior team members.

Required profile

• Diploma in Catering or equivalent culinary qualification.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a 5‑star international hotel or restaurant chain.
• At least one to two years in a Sous Chef or similar supervisory role.
