Spa Receptionist

About the role

Novotel & Ibis Gate Hotels Abu Dhabi is looking for a Spa Receptionist to welcome guests into the spa and deliver efficient, courteous service to guests and members. The role reports to the Spa Manager and requires thorough knowledge of spa treatments and retail products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, anticipatory service that exceeds guest expectations
• Give guests information and literature about facilities and services in person and by telephone
• Answer questions about treatments and the facility accurately
• Make reservations for spa treatments and personal training sessions, keeping records precise
• Control access to the facility by restricting entry to authorised persons
• Follow credit and cash-handling policies and procedures
• Maintain inventory of supplies and retail products
• Give spa tours when needed
• Follow occupational health and safety regulations, report suspicious people, behaviour or vehicles to hotel security, and adhere to the hotel's code of ethics

Required profile

• Outstanding guest service skills, professional presentation and sophisticated verbal and written communication
• Guest-oriented, enthusiastic and able to help people
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written); a second or third language is an asset
• Minimum of two years of experience in the spa industry or hospitality
• Able to handle cash accurately with basic accounting

• Opera PMS system (recommended)
