Specialist Consultant Rheumatologist – Government Sector, UAE

About the role

A leading government healthcare organization in the UAE is expanding its rheumatology team. The Specialist/Consultant Rheumatologist will deliver comprehensive diagnosis and management of rheumatologic, autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders within a multidisciplinary setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory results and imaging.
• Monitor disease activity, treatment response and medication‑related complications.
• Perform joint and soft‑tissue assessments and relevant procedures.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, radiologists, endocrinologists, dermatologists and other specialists.
• Provide patient education on disease management and lifestyle.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings, audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification.
• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
• Relevant post‑specialisation clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary‑care or multispecialty hospital.
• Internationally recognised specialist credentials (UK CCT/MRCP, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board or equivalent).
• Strong clinical judgement, diagnostic skills and excellent communication abilities.
