Specialist Cost Estimation Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Specialist Cost Estimation Engineer to join an offshore PMC project team based in the client’s office in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on delivering accurate cost forecasts throughout planning, tendering, and execution phases for large‑scale oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for mega offshore projects during FEED, engineering, and execution stages.
• Analyze project scope, requirements, and risks to quantify cost impacts.
• Prepare budget forecasts, cost breakdown structures (CBS) and estimates at completion.
• Support decision‑making with cost comparisons and financial recommendations.
• Monitor cost variances, recommend corrective actions, and maintain cost databases.
• Participate in value‑engineering and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 5‑8 years of offshore project experience with FEED/engineering on mega‑value projects (> USD 1 billion).
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mandatory).
• Prior involvement in ADNOC projects is an advantage.
