Specialist Critical Care Physician

About the role

We are a leading healthcare facility seeking an experienced Specialist Critical Care Physician to deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit (ICU). The role involves rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of complex medical emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Provide advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation (invasive and non‑invasive), and hemodynamic support.
• Interpret arterial blood gases, ECGs, laboratory results, X‑rays, CT scans and other diagnostics.
• Manage fluid, electrolyte, acid‑base, and nutritional needs of patients.
• Perform critical care procedures within training and privilege scope.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, pulmonologists and other specialists.
• Participate in rapid response, emergency resuscitation, clinical audits and teaching activities.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine/Intensive Care Medicine (MD, DNB, MRCP, Arab Board or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of post‑specialisation clinical experience, preferably in a mixed medical‑surgical ICU.
• Strong experience with mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring and advanced resuscitation.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
