Specialist Engineer – Asset & SPIR Coordination (Offshore)

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Specialist Engineer – Asset/SPIR Coordination will manage asset registers, spare‑parts interchangeability records and master data for offshore facilities, ensuring accurate handover to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain asset registers and equipment tagging structures for wellhead towers, subsea cables, offshore piping, boat landings and foundation brackets.
• Review and validate vendor SPIR submissions, coordinate spare‑parts requirements with procurement and maintenance teams, and ensure compliance with client procedures.
• Support engineering deliverables, participate in design reviews, and resolve asset data issues during project execution.
• Coordinate project handover documentation, assist commissioning teams, and migrate asset records into CMMS/ERP systems.
• Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and supply‑chain stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 15‑18 years of offshore oil & gas, EPC/EPCI or asset‑management experience, with at least 5 years in asset coordination, SPIR management or master data management.
• Proven experience supporting offshore facilities such as wellhead towers, subsea cable systems and offshore piping.
• Middle‑East offshore project experience is advantageous.
