Specialist Engineer – AVEVA E3D (Offshore)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Specialist Engineer to lead AVEVA E3D design activities on a major ADNOC offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role will support engineering, construction and contractor teams to ensure the 3‑D model meets project specifications, ADNOC standards and international codes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support for AVEVA E3D modelling and design across all disciplines.
• Review and monitor contractor/EPC E3D models for compliance with approved deliverables, project specifications and ADNOC requirements.
• Perform detailed 3‑D model reviews, identify clashes, design inconsistencies, constructability and interface issues, and drive timely resolution.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines to integrate equipment, piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation data.
• Validate model development against P&IDs, plot plans, equipment layouts, piping specifications and datasheets.
• Support model review meetings at 30 %, 60 %, 90 % and final stages, ensuring proper naming conventions, tagging and attribute management.
• Monitor model quality, provide technical comments and ensure alignment with document control and engineering updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years (180 months) of experience in 3‑D plant design and model management, preferably in oil & gas offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, international codes and BIM/3‑D model coordination processes.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex model reviews.
