Specialist Geophysics

About the role

The Specialist Geophysics will act as the principal technical advisor to subsurface and drilling teams, ensuring the integration of cutting‑edge geophysical knowledge into full‑field development plans. This senior position requires deep expertise in seismic interpretation, reservoir characterization and the application of advanced monitoring technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain contacts with shareholders and industry to stay abreast of the latest advances in geophysics, seismic interpretation, and reservoir modeling.
• Provide expert advice to asset teams on technical studies that directly impact full‑field development plans.
• Promote and integrate geophysical technologies and best practices across disciplines.
• Assure leadership that project studies meet company standards and that seismic uncertainties are properly evaluated.
• Lead major geophysical activities, including 3D geological modeling and seismic reservoir characterization.
• Apply 4D, borehole and cross‑well seismic monitoring for reservoir management.
• Conduct regional seismic interpretation and develop exploration/appraisal strategies integrating well, geological and geo‑mechanical data.
• Use sequence stratigraphy and seismic attributes to constrain static model frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics or Geology.
• Minimum 15 years of varied O&G experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership and shareholders on technical matters.
