Specialist Piping Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Piping Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support the delivery of complex energy, chemicals and resources projects by ensuring the mechanical (piping) design meets all technical, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engage in safety activities.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve piping engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, including equipment design, system layouts, material testing, specifications, calculations, drawings and vendor data.
• Attend technical meetings with owners, licensors, contractors and vendors, and participate in design review, 3D model review, constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP and HAZID sessions.
• Ensure EPC contractor’s mechanical piping design complies with project specifications, codes, standards and best practices.
• Coordinate engineering input for design options, business models and specification updates.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mechanical (piping) design requirements and licensor PDPs.
• Ability to interpret and review calculations, specifications, plans and engineering studies.
• Experience supervising and managing review and approval processes for contractor work.
• Proven capability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
