Specialist Planning Engineer

About the role

Wood is looking for an experienced Specialist Planning Engineer to join the PMC team supporting the ADNOC Offshore Umm Shaif Gas Cap Phase 1 Onshore Project (Packages 2 & 3). You will be the central point for schedule management, ensuring integrated project schedules are accurate, up‑to‑date and aligned with ADNOC requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, maintain and monitor integrated schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up.
• Evaluate EPC Contractor baseline schedules for compliance with contractual obligations and ADNOC standards.
• Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), coding structures and schedule control systems.
• Perform critical‑path analysis, identify schedule risks, constraints and optimisation opportunities.
• Monitor progress against baselines, conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare Level 1‑3 schedules, progress curves, S‑curves, KPI dashboards and management reporting packages.
• Support risk assessments, mitigation planning and schedule recovery measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project controls, planning and scheduling for large‑scale construction or oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Strong understanding of ADNOC procedures and industry best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with PMC, EPC contractors and client teams.
