Specialist Planning Engineer – Offshore

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Specialist Planning Engineer for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and monitoring offshore construction activities, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain offshore construction schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress against the approved baseline schedule and analyse critical paths, delays, productivity, and schedule risks.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts, S‑curves, and other performance metrics.
• Coordinate planning inputs from construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams.
• Develop recovery plans and recommend corrective actions when needed.
• Verify contractor progress and ensure accurate progress measurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 17 years of experience in project planning and cost control within the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience on offshore projects; PMC experience preferred.
• Previous experience on ADNOC projects is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and independent working abilities.
