Specialist Project Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

The Specialist Project Engineer will design, build and maintain project performance dashboards and business‑intelligence solutions for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. Using Power BI and advanced data‑analytics tools, the role provides accurate, real‑time insight into schedules, costs, resources, risks and overall project health to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise Power BI dashboards and interactive reports for project performance monitoring.
• Create automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort and improve data visibility.
• Design executive‑level dashboards that present KPIs, project status, progress and performance metrics.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data from ERP, Primavera P6, SAP, SharePoint and Excel, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Build data models, calculations and KPIs using DAX and Power Query.
• Monitor schedules, cost performance, resource utilisation and earned‑value metrics, ensuring consistency across projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Planning Engineers and Business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and present findings.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in project performance reporting, business intelligence or data analytics.
• Proven expertise with Power BI, DAX, Power Query and advanced Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with Primavera P6, SAP and SharePoint Online.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate business needs into actionable visualisations.
