Specialist Settlement Services

About the role

The Specialist Settlement Services will oversee daily monitoring and processing of settlement activities across domestic, regional and international markets for a wide range of asset classes. The role ensures timely, accurate settlement of equities, mutual funds, fixed income, ETFs, securities lending and borrowing, and short‑selling transactions while delivering high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and process settlement transactions for equities, mutual funds, fixed income, hedge funds, structured funds, ETFs, securities lending/borrowing and short‑selling across local, regional and international markets.
• Receive, validate and match client, market and sub‑custodian instructions to ensure accurate settlement.
• Communicate with clients, counterparties, regulators, brokers, paying agents and issuers to resolve settlement issues.
• Support due‑diligence visits related to settlement processes.
• Provide first‑level training to new specialists and assist colleagues with inquiries.
• Manage cash flows required for settlement and coordinate cash management activities.
• Participate in system upgrades, processing enhancements and off‑hours testing.
• Implement settlement processes for new clients, products, market rules and regulatory requirements while maintaining quality controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling complex settlement transactions across multiple markets.
• Strong understanding of domestic, regional and international settlement conventions for various asset classes.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain high quality standards.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to support training and knowledge transfer within the team.
