Specialist Structural Engineer - Offshore FEED Project

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development for ADNOC in Abu Dhabi. The Specialist Structural Engineer will lead and execute structural engineering activities for the offshore FEED project, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, safety requirements and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute structural engineering activities for ADNOC offshore FEED projects, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.
• Develop design criteria, calculations, specifications and engineering reports for jackets, topsides, bridges, modules and related infrastructure.
• Perform structural analysis using SACS, STAAD Pro, SESAM, GT‑STRUDL and ABAQUS, evaluating integrity under operational, transportation, installation and environmental loads.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, constructability and safety studies, and optimise concepts for constructability and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and junior engineers, review contractor deliverables and resolve complex engineering issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 144 months (12 years) of experience in offshore structural engineering.
• Proven experience with FEED and detailed engineering phases of offshore platforms.
• Ability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi and later at the FEED location abroad.
