Speech and Language Therapist (80-100%) - Neurorehabilitation

About the role

Cereneo is a Swiss clinic specializing in neurorehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, living with Parkinson's disease, with traumatic brain injuries and other neurological conditions. It is looking for a speech and language therapist for its international projects, who will start in Switzerland with training and join an interdisciplinary team. After 6 to 12 months of training, candidates can choose to stay in Switzerland or move to Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders in neurological patients, especially those with tracheostomy tubes
• Develop, implement and evaluate individual therapy plans to improve swallowing function and speech and language abilities
• Implement decannulation measures in close collaboration with doctors, nursing staff and physical and occupational therapists
• Advise and counsel patients, relatives and nursing staff on tracheostomy tube management
• Document and evaluate therapy progress according to clinical standards

Required profile

• Completed degree in Speech Therapy, recognized by the Swiss Federal Department of Education or willing to obtain this recognition
• Certified further training in tracheostomy tube management
• Experience in rehabilitative therapy for dysphagia and tracheostomy tube management
• Fluent English; fluency in Arabic is mandatory
• Willingness to work in different countries and adapt to new cultural contexts

Required skills

• Experience with direct flexible laryngoscopy is a plus
• Ability to work independently and patient-centredly in an interdisciplinary team
