Speech and Language Therapist – Sakina

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for patients with a range of communication, cognitive, fluency, voice, swallowing and feeding disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of patients with developmental speech and language delays, social communication disorders, dysfluency and motor speech disorders.
• Develop and implement specialised treatment plans for individuals and groups, targeting attention, listening, auditory processing, play, interaction, language understanding and expression, and speech sound development.
• Advise caregivers and professionals on the management of communication and oro‑motor difficulties, setting and reviewing specific therapeutic targets.
• Conduct baseline assessments using standardised tools and analytical clinical reasoning to establish differential diagnoses.
• Deliver therapy interventions that integrate speech, language and communication programmes into patients' daily routines.
• Collect comprehensive case histories covering medical, social, psychological, educational and developmental information.
• Collaborate with internal and external agencies, providing tailored advice, training and recommendations.
• Maintain infection‑control standards, equipment safety and strict confidentiality.

Required profile

• Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive, fluency, voice, swallowing and feeding disorders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong clinical reasoning and investigative skills for assessment and programme planning.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standardised assessment tools for speech and language evaluation.
