Sr. Range Services Technician

About the role

The Senior Range Services Technician supports the setup, maintenance, and operation of test ranges used for evaluating equipment, vehicles, or other products. This role involves preparing test sites, supporting the operational setup of testing equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance with testing protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare test sites by installing equipment, barriers, targets and related materials, and conduct regular inspections and maintenance of range facilities.
• Work with engineering and operations teams to deploy and support testing equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable performance.
• Provide technical support for ad‑hoc builds, targetry, hygiene units, fresh water, AC and power for client‑booked temporary infrastructure.
• Operate testing equipment, assist in vehicle, ballistic, environmental and other specialized tests, and record commercial data and observations.
• Enforce safety regulations and standard operating procedures, implementing protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
• Maintain detailed logs of test activities, equipment condition, and support services; assist in preparing technical reports for engineers and management.
• Manage inventory of range equipment, tools and supplies, coordinating procurement, replacement and tracking usage.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical or maintenance roles, preferably within a defence, range or test environment.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Strong technical aptitude, troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
• Physically fit for challenging environmental conditions and able to drive multiple vehicle types.
