Staff Nurse – Admission & Transfer Centre

About the role

The Staff Nurse in the Admission and Transfer Centre provides coordinated nursing care, direct patient support, education and smooth transitions across the continuum of care. The role aligns with SSMC’s mission, vision and values while delivering age‑appropriate care within the UAE nursing regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Assess comprehensive physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs of patients and document findings.
• Develop culturally appropriate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the healthcare team, setting measurable outcomes.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to hospital policies.
• Coordinate care transitions, communicate relevant information across all levels of care, and ensure documentation of all plan modifications.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Commitment to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and UAE.
• Ability to provide age‑appropriate care following the Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Strong assessment, planning and coordination skills as described.

Required skills

• Medication administration following organizational policies.
• Performance of clinical treatments and procedures per established protocols.
• Accurate clinical documentation using standardized terminology.
