Staff Nurse – Burns ICU (BICU) – Tower D8

About the role

The Staff Nurse in Tower D8 provides comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Burns Intensive Care Unit (BICU). This role involves direct patient care, education for patients and families, and coordination of care transitions while upholding SSMC’s mission, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, evidence‑based individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement care plans, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to organizational policies and protocols.
• Document all aspects of care, including modifications, using standardized terminology.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Familiarity with the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill burn patients.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous professional development.
