Staff Nurse – Outpatient Clinic (TP)

About the role

The American Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for its Outpatient Surgical Clinic (TP). The role involves delivering age‑specific, patient‑centered care across scheduled shifts while adhering to international safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments using age‑appropriate techniques.
• Develop, revise, and coordinate individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Document all clinical data accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Handle and administer narcotic, controlled, and semi‑controlled drugs in compliance with policies.
• Participate in Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation activities, staff meetings, and continuous quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Current registration with the UAE nursing authority.
• Experience in surgical or outpatient clinic settings preferred.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and professional development.

Required skills

• Safe handling and administration of narcotic/controlled drugs.
• Critical care assessment and monitoring.
• Pain management competency.
