Staff Nurse – Pediatrics Wing (Tower A7)

About the role

The Staff Nurse in Tower A7 provides comprehensive nursing care for children in the Pediatrics Wing. The role involves direct patient care, education of patients and families, and coordination of care transitions while upholding SSMC’s mission, vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, evidence‑based care plans in partnership with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Implement and modify care plans, administer medications, and perform treatments according to established protocols.
• Document all care activities using standardized language and ensure accurate health record updates.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Registered nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose and prioritize patient needs.
• Strong commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families and team members.
• Adherence to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and UAE.
