Steward (Hotel Kitchen)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Steward to join our hotel’s Food & Beverage team in Downtown Dubai. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, store rooms and dining areas, supporting smooth operations for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen tools, knives, tables, silverware and other equipment using detergents and sanitising chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly and rotate stock, ensuring clean wares are stored appropriately.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items as needed; break down dirty bus tubs and manage trash and recycling.
• Clean and mop all assigned areas, empty trashcans and dumpsters, and dispose of glass and cardboard in proper containers.
• Follow company safety, security and quality policies; report maintenance issues, accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and moving items up to 50 lb and standing for extended periods.

Required profile

• No formal education or prior experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Physical capability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, twisting and standing.

Required skills

• Operation of dishwashing machines and related cleaning equipment.
• Use of cleaning chemicals and sanitising procedures in a 3‑compartment sink.
• Basic food safety and sanitation practices.
