Steward

About the role

The Steward supports daily operations in the kitchen and banquet areas, ensuring all serviceware and equipment are clean, well‑stocked, and ready for use. You will work closely with the culinary team to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety while assisting with event set‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and polish all chinaware, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans.
• Monitor and replenish stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform routine kitchen cleaning tasks, including mopping floors and waste removal.
• Prepare and set up clean serviceware for banquets and functions.
• Handle hazardous substances safely and follow all health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Train and mentor new team members to improve overall performance.
