Stewarding Supervisor - Sports Bar

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor will lead the Sports Bar stewarding team at Wynn Al Marjan Island, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and service. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will oversee daily operations, coach staff and maintain a hygienic environment for guests and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee efficient operation of the assigned duty area.
• Maintain resort‑wide hygiene and safety standards across work areas, facilities and equipment.
• Monitor best practices for clearing, cleaning, washing and storing crockery, pots, glassware and kitchen equipment.
• Supervise correct handling, storage and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Perform duties assigned by the Assistant Manager and assume their responsibilities in their absence.
• Delegate tasks fairly among team members and provide clear direction.
• Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate steward performance.
• Conduct daily briefings and share relevant information with the team.
• Identify and correct deviations from stewarding procedures through on‑the‑job training.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful work environment.
• Attend departmental and inter‑departmental meetings and foster strong team communication.
• Participate in recycling initiatives and adhere to health‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school completion; higher academic credentials are a plus.
• Relevant experience in kitchen stewarding or hospitality operations.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience preferred.
• Strong commitment to hygiene, safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures for kitchen equipment and dining ware.
• Ability to supervise the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Capability to train and mentor staff on stewarding best practices.
• Effective communication for daily briefings and team coordination.
