Strategic Planning and Institutional Performance Executive

About the role

The Dubai Government Legal Affairs Department is looking for a Strategic Planning and Institutional Performance Executive to support the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Office. The role involves activating, implementing and monitoring strategic and operational planning systems to ensure alignment with the Dubai Government Excellence Program and the broader priorities of the Government of Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in updating the institutional strategy, specialized strategies and operational plans in collaboration with various organizational units.
• Track development, alignment, documentation and execution of strategic initiatives and projects, monitor performance against targets and produce periodic progress reports.
• Oversee collection, validation and regular updating of strategic and operational performance indicator data.
• Maintain performance, plans and initiatives data within the Cubes system or other departmental platforms.
• Prepare and analyse institutional performance reports and coordinate corrective action plans with relevant units.
• Monitor implementation of improvement plans, take necessary actions and report outcomes to senior leadership.
• Support the preparation of studies, analyses and reports related to institutional performance and strategic plan achievement.
• Assist organizational units in drafting operational plans and related performance documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum three years (36 months) of experience in strategic planning, institutional performance management or related governmental functions.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data quality and reporting accuracy.
• Familiarity with government excellence frameworks and public sector performance standards.
