About the role
The Strategy Director will partner directly with the Deputy CEO of Market Development to shape GSM’s global expansion. Based in Dubai, you will define market‑entry strategies, build the analytical framework for decisions, and lead a small consulting‑style team.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct strategic analysis and prioritisation of target markets, including sizing, competitive landscape, regulatory fit and EV‑infrastructure maturity.
- Develop and own per‑market financial models (P&L, unit economics, capex, ramp curves) and stress‑test business cases.
- Recommend launch sequencing and identify adjacent business opportunities for each market.
- Maintain a consolidated view of GSM’s portfolio P&L and provide competitive intelligence on global mobility trends.
- Hire, mentor and scale the Strategy team, setting analytical standards and engagement scope.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional and regional stakeholders to translate strategy into executable launch plans.
Required profile
- Senior leader with proven experience in market entry strategy, preferably within EV or mobility sectors.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to build rigorous financial models and business cases.
- Track record of building and leading high‑performing consulting‑style teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with senior executives.
