Structural Design Engineer – Dubai & Abu Dhabi

About the role

KEN International is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to support projects across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete and steel structures while ensuring compliance with local authority requirements and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete and steel structures using ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 or equivalent.
• Prepare and review calculations, design reports, drawings and technical submissions.
• Ensure design deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards and authority procedures.
• Coordinate design with architecture, MEP, geotechnical and other disciplines.
• Participate in technical reviews, design coordination meetings and resolve design issues.
• Review contractor submissions and support authority approvals, responding to technical comments.
• Guarantee designs are sound, coordinated, buildable and meet project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7–10 years of structural design experience, with proven UAE consultancy or design background.
• Valid Dubai Municipality engineering registration and UAE Society of Engineers membership.
• UAE Ministry of Education Certificate of Recognition or Degree Equivalency.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality requirements and UAE authority procedures.
• Experience in high‑rise residential, hospitality or luxury projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000.
• Design of reinforced concrete and structural steel systems.
• Familiarity with international structural codes and standards.
• Technical coordination and communication with multidisciplinary teams.
