Structural Engineer – Data Centre Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to lead the design, analysis and delivery of mission‑critical data centre facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring structural integrity, resilience and compliance while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural systems for new and existing data centre buildings, including foundations, steel frames and equipment support structures.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, condition assessments and feasibility studies.
• Review geotechnical reports and integrate findings into foundation designs.
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical and civil engineers throughout project lifecycles.
• Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings and monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Perform risk assessments and propose solutions to structural challenges.
• Support commissioning, testing and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent preferred.
• 5–10+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably on data centre, mission‑critical or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
