Structural Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Structural Inspector to join a major infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role supports construction supervision by inspecting structural works and ensuring they meet approved drawings, specifications, codes and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect foundations, columns, beams, slabs and walls for compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor workmanship and verify that materials meet project requirements and applicable standards.
• Review structural and shop drawings, check reinforcement placement before concrete pour.
• Identify, document and report defects or non‑conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Witness and verify concrete compressive strength tests, rebar tensile tests and other QA/QC checks.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and project teams to resolve structural issues and maintain progress.
• Maintain inspection records, daily reports and required documentation while promoting safe work practices on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of structural inspection experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects, preferably involving pedestrian bridges and roads.
• Strong knowledge of structural construction methods and relevant codes/standards (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocodes, local regulations).
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications and inspection/testing requirements.
• Excellent communication, reporting skills and a strong HSE awareness.
