Structural Inspector

About the role

The Structural Inspector will ensure that all structural works on large‑scale building projects meet AECOM’s quality, safety and contractual standards. Working on‑site in Abu Dhabi, you will collaborate closely with Resident Engineers and contractors to deliver safe, compliant structures.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications and health‑and‑safety measures.
• Verify contractor compliance through observation, measurements, testing and quality‑assurance tracking.
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment.
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Document personnel, equipment, activities, locations, reasons and methods observed on site.
• Report material deliveries and implement site instructions.
• Apply and enforce all site quality‑control procedures.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks required by project leaders.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance and code requirements.
• Track health‑and‑safety compliance and report any violations.

Required profile

• Proven site experience with basic design, estimation, installation and supervision of structural works on large‑scale projects.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, specifications and safety regulations.
