Structures Lead Construction Supervision

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Structures Lead to oversee large‑scale structural steel construction projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely delivery on complex heavy‑steel sites.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all structural steel erection and fabrication activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and engineering drawings.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of steel workers, inspectors and support staff while fostering a safety‑first culture.
• Conduct daily site inspections and quality‑control checks covering structural integrity, welding standards and material specifications.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, progress reports and documentation to track milestones.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols, conduct briefings and ensure adherence to UAE regulations and international construction standards.
• Identify technical challenges, propose solutions and manage budget efficiency.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project managers and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless execution.
• Manage equipment, machinery and material inventory, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading structural steel construction teams on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations and international safety standards.
• Excellent coordination skills with engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to develop schedules, reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
