Student Accessibility Services Manager

About the role

The Student Accessibility Services Manager leads the department that supports students with special educational needs at Zayed University. This senior position ensures that accessibility policies are implemented, promotes awareness across the campus, and guarantees that all students receive equitable access to the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term plans aligned with the department’s strategic goals.
• Design, implement, and manage programs and services for students with special needs.
• Provide guidance and professional development to faculty on inclusive teaching practices.
• Conduct SEN assessments and create individual educational plans (IEPs).
• Coordinate accessibility workshops for faculty, staff, and external schools.
• Prepare and manage the department’s annual budget and generate regular reports.
• Ensure compliance with disability legislation and university policies.
• Facilitate communication and problem‑solving among students, faculty, and staff regarding accommodations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in special education or student support services, preferably in a higher‑education setting.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of disability laws and accessibility standards.
• Ability to develop budgets and produce analytical reports.
