Student Support Attendant – UAE Government Schools

About the role

The Student Support Attendant provides essential classroom, behavioural and physical assistance to Students of Determination in government schools across the UAE. You will help create a safe, inclusive environment that enables each student to reach their academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt learning materials under guidance to meet individual student needs.
• Guide students through daily lessons, activities and transitions between classes, breaks and buses.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, adaptive equipment, personal care, hygiene and feeding when required.
• Maintain a safe environment by proactively managing physical risks.
• Implement approved behaviour‑management plans, de‑escalate challenging situations and promote positive social interactions.
• Log student progress, behavioural incidents and daily achievements accurately.
• Collaborate daily with teachers, therapists and special‑needs teams.

Required profile

• Minimum high‑school certificate or higher qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience (e.g., shadow teacher, teaching assistant, caregiver, nursery assistant, special‑needs support).
• Physically and medically fit to assist with student mobility and safety.
• Exceptionally patient, caring, empathetic and resilient.

Required skills

• Good verbal and written communication in English and Tagalog.
