Subcontract Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Subcontract Engineer to lead procurement and subcontract management for offshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role serves as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless coordination and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for internal departments, clients, and management.
• Review subcontractor proposals, technical documentation, and work plans for compliance.
• Conduct cost analysis, scenario evaluations, and benchmarking of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, change orders, progress reports, and related documentation.
• Coordinate communication between project teams and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement purchasing and procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Lead negotiations and close agreements on optimal commercial terms.
• Plan and manage quantities and delivery schedules to support project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, preferably in offshore oil & gas projects (e.g., jackets, sealine installation).
• Proven EPCI offshore experience.
