Subject Coordinator – Science Department

About the role

The school is seeking an experienced Science Coordinator to lead its Science Department. Reporting to the Campus Director, the coordinator will oversee curriculum delivery, support teachers, and ensure high‑quality instruction aligned with IB and UAE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate Science teachers, providing coaching and professional development.
• Collaborate with the leadership team on selection, implementation, and administration of instructional resources.
• Design and manage standards‑based student assessments.
• Identify and deliver teacher and administrator professional development aligned with school guidelines.
• Assist in teacher recruitment for the Science content area.
• Evaluate and enhance content programs in line with the approved curriculum.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant Science discipline, with a Bachelor’s degree in the same field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching or coordinating the relevant subject area.
• Familiarity with Common Core Curriculum and UAE National Curriculum standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; IELTS score of 6.5 or higher.
