Supplier & Cost Management Specialist – Technology

About the role

The Supplier & Cost Management Specialist – Technology drives technology spend governance, supplier performance, commercial evaluation, and cost optimisation across Etihad’s Digital Technology & Innovation portfolio. The role partners with Technology, Finance, Procurement and Business teams to ensure cost transparency, maximise value from technology investments and deliver sustainable savings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end visibility and governance of technology expenditure across software, cloud, infrastructure, telecom, managed services and professional services.
• Develop and maintain spend forecasts, financial models, dashboards and executive reports to support budgeting and decision‑making.
• Partner with Technology and Finance to support annual budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and financial planning activities.
• Build robust business cases and commercial evaluations (TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR, pay‑back) for technology investments and transformation programmes.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals and supplier management to optimise value and service performance.
• Identify and execute cost‑optimisation initiatives across software licensing, cloud services, infrastructure, managed services and workforce expenditure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Technology Finance, IT Commercial Management, Vendor Management, Strategic Sourcing or related fields.
• Proven track record managing large technology spend portfolios and delivering measurable cost optimisation.
• Experience in large enterprise environments with exposure to technology procurement, software licensing, cloud and infrastructure cost management.
• Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis, commercial modelling, vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modelling, forecasting, Power Query, Pivot Tables); Power BI experience is desirable.
