Surface Well Testing Operator / Specialist (UAE)

About the role

The Surface Well Testing Operator / Specialist will plan, execute and supervise well testing operations across on‑shore and off‑shore sites in the United Arab Emirates. Working closely with client representatives, the role ensures accurate data capture, equipment reliability and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rig‑up, rig‑down, pressure testing and operate surface well testing equipment such as test separators, choke manifolds and surge tanks.
• Execute well flow operations including clean‑up, flow‑back, build‑up and sampling while recording performance data.
• Lead HSE activities, attend risk assessments, toolbox talks and maintain required offshore certifications (BOSIET, H2S, medical).
• Maintain and inspect equipment, document status, manage spare‑part inventory and ensure preventive maintenance is carried out.
• Coordinate with client man‑ning, wellsite leaders and coordinators, providing daily reports, well‑test summaries and data logs.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum or related engineering discipline.
• 2–8 years of experience in surface well testing operations on on‑shore and/or off‑shore projects.
• Strong understanding of pressure control equipment and well‑testing processes.
• Valid offshore certifications (BOSIET, H2S, medical) and ability to work rotation‑based schedules.
