System Engineer II

About the role

EDGE Group PJSC is looking for a System Engineer II to manage and support Windows Server environments, networking, virtualization, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server systems.
• Manage networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN.
• Utilize monitoring and backup tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Oversee storage solutions including SAN/NAS, allocation, and optimization.
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery, backup planning, and business continuity procedures.
• Participate in system architecture design to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Manage data‑center operations, including servers, racks, power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and optimization to maintain high availability.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve IT services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field.
• 5–7 years of experience managing Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Professional certifications such as MCSA or MCSE (required); additional certifications (e.g., VMware, Azure, CCNA) are a plus.
