Systems Administrator

About the role

The Systems Administrator will be the on‑site technology lead for a fast‑paced commodity derivatives trading firm operating from the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. This hands‑on role ensures all IT systems run smoothly, supporting traders and staff where downtime directly impacts the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑office IT support to all staff, resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues promptly.
• Maintain office network infrastructure – Wi‑Fi, firewalls, switches, routers and internet redundancy.
• Administer Microsoft 365/Azure AD, including email, Teams, SharePoint, user accounts and licences.
• Support connectivity to trading platforms, market data services and exchange front‑ends.
• Manage user onboarding/offboarding, device setup and access provisioning.
• Implement IT security controls such as endpoint protection, patching, MFA and access management.
• Oversee data backups, test recovery procedures and maintain business continuity.
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software and licences.
• Coordinate with external vendors, service providers and telecom suppliers.
• Set up and support meeting‑room, video‑conferencing and telephony equipment.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support, preferably as the primary on‑site resource.
• Experience in a time‑critical environment such as financial services, trading or brokerage is highly desirable.
• Proactive, calm under pressure and able to communicate clearly with non‑technical users.
• Organised, discreet and security‑conscious with a strong sense of ownership.
