Systems Architect

About the role

The Systems Architect will design, implement, and maintain the core IT infrastructure supporting both on‑premise and cloud environments. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of server, storage, and virtualization platforms across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization environments.
• Configure and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID).
• Deploy, provision, upgrade, patch, and tune enterprise servers and infrastructure services.
• Oversee storage solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE) and backup platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup.
• Support Microsoft Azure and hybrid‑cloud infrastructures.
• Monitor systems with enterprise monitoring tools and resolve incidents proactively.
• Execute incident, problem, and change management following ITIL processes.
• Implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) procedures.
• Collaborate with network, security, database, and application teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology transformation initiatives while ensuring compliance with banking security standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong background in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Azure AD.
• Experience with storage and backup solutions in enterprise settings.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and hybrid‑cloud architectures.
• Understanding of ITIL‑based incident, problem, and change management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with network, security, and application teams.
• Commitment to adhering to banking security standards and regulatory compliance.
